The PromethION P2 solo is the new Oxford Nanopore technologies sequencer. It allow to sequence more than 100 millions cDNA reads for isoform level analysis or 100-200 Gb gDNA per run.
Our new short-read sequencer Illumina NextSeq 200 has gone into production. This new machine can sequence up to 1.1 billion reads in parallel, more than double that of our previous NextSeq 500 sequencer. It provides reads from 50 bp to 2 x 150 bp.
We thanks Ile de France SESAME fund, GIS IBiSA and "Actions incitatives" from École normale supérieure for their help in financing this equipment.
The MinION Mk1C is the new MinION device for full-length mRNA sequencing. It now offers storage capacity of 1 TB and a high-resolution touchscreen for better monitoring of sequencing runs.
In order to celebrate this anniversary we will organize in Paris on March the 28th 2019 a half-day meeting entitled: “20 years of genomics past and future directions”. This event will feature a series of talks covering key research fields in genomics. We will look at the past of course, but we will also discuss the future of the field. The afternoon will be followed by a reception at the Musée d’Orsay including a gala dinner and a guided tour of the remarkable art collections.
MinIT is a companion to the MinION sequencer. It allows to control the MinION (using MinKNOW software), carry out data acquisition and perform basecalling. It will improve data processing of the direct RNA sequencing.
Hear about the latest tech updates from Oxford Nanopore and about the latest projects using nanopore sequencing from local users at Oxford Nanopore Day Paris on March 15, 2018. Organized by Oxford Nanopore Technologies and the IBENS Genomic facility. Free registration on the Oxford Nanopore website.
A new device has arrived on the facility: a 10X Genomics' Chromium. This new hardware is dedicated to single-cell RNA-seq and is currently under test.
We received the MinION sequencing device from Oxford Nanopore company and we will perform tests to sequence full length mRNA.
After several monthes of work, the new version of the École normale supérieure Biology Institute (IBENS) genomic platform is online. It replaces and updates our former website created in 2003. Do not hesitate to browse the different tabs to discover our activities.
